About me
Beatrice Gigliuto, known as Red Lily, is an Italian-born rope artist, educator, and relational coach and sexologist whose work lives at the intersection of intimacy, queerness, and embodied connection.

Red Lily’s journey began with a fascination for the expressive potential of the body and the quiet language of trust between people.
Over time, that curiosity led her to the world of Shibari, where rope became not only an artistic medium but also a way to explore communication, vulnerability, and the complex beauty of human relationships.
For more than a decade, she has traveled across Europe and beyond, teaching workshops, performing, and holding spaces where rope is approached as a practice of presence and dialogue. Her work emphasizes consent, emotional awareness, and the transformative possibilities that can emerge when people meet each other with curiosity and care.
As the founder and artistic director of the Queer Knots Festival, Red Lily has helped create an international gathering dedicated to queer perspectives in rope art and relational practices. The festival brings together artists, educators, and community members to share performances, workshops, and conversations that celebrate diversity, creativity, and the many ways intimacy can be expressed.
Now based in Copenhagen, Red Lily continues to weave together art, education, and activism, inviting people to slow down, listen deeply, and rediscover connection through the simple, powerful act of tying and being tied.
